Research Methodology

Interviews serve as the core of my research methodology. Interviews do not only offer real-time interaction between the researcher and participants allowing for immediate clarification of doubts or misunderstandings; but it also enhances the accuracy and depth of the data collected. Moreover, interviews also provide the opportunity to explore unexpected or unanticipated topics that may arise during the conversation. This can lead to the discovery of new insights and perspectives.

For evaluating implemented changes, I will be interviewing the students that are involved in the interventions. In the data collection and planning phases, the research predominantly involves interviews with tutors.

To evaluate the efficacy of the implemented changes, I will also be observing student responses to alterations in my teaching and their ability to complete the tasks.

The interventions, informed by the data collected, could include changes made in in-class teaching and alterations in assessment methodologies. I am able to integrate various interventions if suitable based on the research framework.

The overarching action research project revolves around constant evaluation of the interventions and constant reflection. Each intervention informs the design and implementation of next interventions.
